:::PDF>TIFF ?:::

Something strange happen when i convert my .pdf file with the six A1 boards from the midterm review to six separeted .tiff files in order to send them to the epfl server:

The .pdf file size is 1.9Mo and the .tiff files are (11.4 + 12.6 + 1.4 + 2.2 + 11.6 + 5 = 44.2Mo!)

Are the .pdf working like .zip or what? The same thing seems to happen when i print the .pdf; The size are like growing in the printer!

Thanks to anyone helping me to result this stupid question!
(but, It is said that there's no stupid question at school)

:::The Kai Tak project:::

It's an urban system whose every elements, towers and infrastructures are generated from the same two « guilding lines ».
It results that each single element of this city maintaines a relationship one to the other, at least in a formal relationship.
It also results that the towers are not autonomous buildings that have only a relation to the sky but are strongly related to the ground, to the landscape.

The « guilding lines » are established as a succession of ground level sectors and special locations on which they elevate on an higher level, the rules that opere on this urban scale developement are not yet clearly defined but one can consider that the module is one tower.
The spirale or helicoidal organisation that they are following are evocating a form that can evolve, an animated form. It can also describe the volume of the construction on a precise way.

At the building scale, the two guilding lines rotate on two opposite senses that are going up to the top of the tower, describing the enveloppe limites and then, describing the core limites, going down to the ground level in order to continue their way to an other building.
At this scale the module is a twoPI rotation. It generates two slabs between the enveloppe and the core that are interconecting in order to produce a autostabilised structure working with torsion.
The modules sizes and shapes, are affected by their environement density or complexity.

More complexity in the shape and a little bit of Guggenheim Ny.

:::Easy way to do a movie sequence on mac:::

There's a realy light program called « FrameSplicer » that we can download on this site:

http://www.framethief.com/dnlframesplicer.html

FrameSplicer can not do a lot of things , so we will not fell lost;
When you have outputed your hundreds of images from processing, go to « Compile Movie » in the file menu and select all of the processing images, then he will ask you some settings;
Number of frames per second; Quality; Compression type(?) and Scan mode(?)
That's all, you have your simple movie sequence!
I think we can do a « montage » of a lot of different sequences on imovie.

:::Kai Tak Lighthouse:::

The cruise terminal will be liked to a lighthouse with an artificial dike.
Little light gohst are climbing from the dike to the top of the tower to enforce the big one.
Perhaps it is not so useful in a city full of light, but...bon, ben, voila...

***If someone know how to do a water texture on cinema4d, tell me!
